Ayurveda massage
Abhyanga and Garshan massage techniques
Ayurveda massage – what exactly is it?
The Indian healing art of Ayurveda follows a holistic approach. The massage serves to promote inner balance and physical well-being. Every person consists of an interplay of three different life energies, the doshas. We teach 2 different types of treatment: Abhyanga massage and Garshan massage. Abhyanga massage is an Ayurvedic full-body massage “great oiling with loving hands”. The body is relaxed with gentle hands and supplied with warmth and vitality through targeted stroking and massaging. Garshan massage is a traditional form of Ayurvedic dry massage. The exfoliating effect stimulates blood circulation and metabolism, improves lymph flow and counteracts signs of fatigue.

Vata, Kapha, Pitta - the three doshas
Every person consists of an interplay of three different life energies, the doshas. These guide and organize the body and, depending on their distribution, also contribute directly to a person’s lifestyle, character or appearance. In Ayurveda, every person can be assigned to one of the three types based on their predominant dosha:
- Vata Dosha
- Kapha Dosha
- Pitta Dosha
